Stripe decided to end Bitcoin support in April

News
Stripe decided to end bitcoin support in April this year as they seems customers are not much interested about it.

4 years ago, company believed that it would become the first ever payment platform accepting to bitcoin. Stripe CEO and also the co-founder of Patrick Collison said at the time that, "We acknowledge that bitcoin is important today … it may or may not be important in five years."

High transaction fees and volatile prices may be the reason behind the customers are not much interested to use bitcoin as their payment method.

Stripe product manager Tom Karlo said, "Bitcoin has evolved to become better-suited to being an asset than being a means of exchange."

"We’ve seen the desire from our customers to accept bitcoin decrease. And of the businesses that are accepting bitcoin on Stripe, we’ve seen their revenues from bitcoin decline substantially", he added.
